Job summary

Caterpillar MWM in Indonesia is seeking a Service Technician to perform installation and maintenance of gas engine generator sets, ensuring safety and performance standards. You will inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites, with extensive travel and strict adherence to procedures.

Travel up to 75% is required; onsite five days per week. A background in mechanical/electrical engineering and relevant certifications are preferred to support our energy solutions business.

Qualifications

• Background in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Certifications such as Gas Handling, Electrical Safety or engine repair & maintenance preferred.
• This role requires travelling up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose gas engine equipment on site.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and gas system repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and safety practices.
• Coordinate field service activities with customers.

Education
