Job summary

TRIPATRA is seeking a Quality Control Piping Supervisor for a project-based engagement. The role involves supervising piping fabrication, welding, installation, testing, and coordinating with QA/QC, Engineering, Construction and Client representatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 10 years of piping supervision experience in shipbuilding and oil & gas projects, with certified NDT and welding inspection credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine/Naval Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years as Piping Supervisor in shipbuilding and oil & gas projects.
• Extensive experience in structural works, deck, module, skid fabrication, inspection and testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piping fabrication, welding, installation and testing activities.
• Oversee structural works including deck, module and skid fabrication to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor welding quality and ensure inspections are performed per procedures and standards.
• Coordinate NDT, hydrotesting and other inspection/testing activities.
• Ensure work complies with specifications, codes, HSE requirements and quality standards.
• Review inspection reports, welding docs and quality records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Construction and Client to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and support timely project completion.

• Oversee structural works including deck, module, and skid fabrication to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor welding quality and ensure inspections are performed in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
• Coordinate NDT, hydrotesting, and other inspection/testing activities.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable specifications, codes, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
• Review inspection reports, welding documentation, and quality records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Construction, and Client representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor work progress, identify risks, and support timely project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Civil, Marine/Naval Engineering, or related Engineering/Science discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Piping Supervisor in shipbuilding and oil & gas projects.
• Extensive experience in structural works, deck, module, skid fabrication, inspection, and testing.
• Extensive experience in piping welding, inspection, testing, and quality control.
• Certified NDT Level II (ISO 9712, CSWIP, or PCN) in at least two methods (RT/UT/MT/PT).
• Certified Welding Inspector Level II (CSWIP 3.1, PCN, or AWS).
• Preferably certified as Painting/Coating Inspector Level II (NACE/AMPP or Frosio).
• Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Good communication, planning, and coordination skills.
• Willing to be placed in Head Office, Site and Fabrication
