Senior Mechanical QA/QC Inspector (Piping)

Job summary

Suryacipta is seeking a skilled Mechanical QA/QC Inspector / Piping QA/QC Inspector with at least 5 years in large-scale projects to ensure that mechanical and piping installations meet all drawings, specifications, and ITPs. You will conduct inspections, manage NCRs, and collaborate with construction teams and HSE to ensure issues are resolved prior to handover.

Candidates should read drawings and P&IDs, have knowledge of ASME/API/ASTM standards, and be proficient in QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC, piping QA/QC, or related roles on construction, infra, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/piping installation, welding inspection, hydro-testing and equipment alignment.
• Familiar with ITPs, method statements, drawings, specs, vendor requirements, and QA/QC docs.
• Ability to read P&ID, isometrics and piping layouts.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM or equivalent is a plus.
• Familiar with HSE requirements in construction projects.
• Excellent communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with QA/QC documentation systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical and piping materials and installation works comply with drawings, specs, ITP, vendor requirements and project quality standards.
• Conduct and document inspections and testing, including welding/joint inspections, hydro tests, equipment alignment, NCRs, corrective actions, and final handover for piping systems and equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, Construction Team and HSE to resolve quality issues before pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.
