Job summary

Tripatra in Indonesia seeks a Quality Control - Coating Inspector on a project-based contract to supervise and perform painting and coating inspections on oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specs and international standards.

You will review procedures, monitor surface prep and curing, identify non-conformities, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with contractors and clients to uphold coating quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (S1) in Engineering or related major.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in inspection and testing of painting/coating works, including linepipe coating in oil and gas projects.
• Experience with coating standards (NACE / FROSIO).
• Valid certifications: NACE/AMPP/FROSIO Coating Inspector Level 2, SSPC Coating or Painting Engineer, Chief Coating Inspector (NACE/FROSIO Level 3).
• Willing to be placed at Head Office / Site Area / Fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform inspection and testing activities for painting, coating works in oil and gas projects.

• Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project teams to maintain coating quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support on coating and corrosion protection activities.
• Identify, report, and document non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues, and follow up corrective actions with relevant parties.
• Perform continual improvement and active in Preventive Action Program
