Samora Group seeks a Quality Control and Laboratory Oversight lead in its Marunda, North Bekasi facility. You will oversee quality and food safety systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and HAS 23000, while driving continuous improvement in laboratory and QC processes.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and at least five years' experience in QC and lab operations, preferably in sugar refining or food manufacturing, with a track record of
Responsible for overseeing Quality Control and Laboratory operations, ensuring product quality, compliance with applicable standards, and continuous improvement of laboratory and quality control processes within the sugar refinery environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality control and laboratory operations preferably within a sugar refinery, food processing, or manufacturing environment.
Experienced in supervising Quality Control and Laboratory operations and teams.
In-depth knowledge of quality control testing methods, analytical techniques, and laboratory best practices
Strong knowledge of, or certification in, the following: Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Gula Kristal Rafinasi (GKR), Halal Certification, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, SMK3, 5R/5S, PDCA & 7 Tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Willing to be placed at PT Andalan Manis Sejahtera (Member of Samora Group) – Marunda, North Bekasi.
Oversee quality and food safety systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and HAS 23000 standards.
Manage and maintain ISO-related documents using 5R principles, ensuring they are updated, complete, and accurate across Physical, Chemical, and Microbiology Laboratories.
Monitor Raw Sugar usage and production output.
Monitor laboratory equipment calibration, suitability, maintenance, and repairs for Physical, Chemical, and Microbiology Laboratories.
Ensure laboratory analytical methods comply with established work instructions and applicable GKR industry standards, including SNI and ICUMSA.
Monitor air quality testing in the Bagging and Microbiology areas to ensure compliance with established requirements.
Ensure microbiological test results for incoming materials, water, and finished products meet established requirements, and issue corrective action forms (FKTP) for identified non-conformities.
Actively participate in internal and external audits and Follow up on audit findings, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are completed within the required timeframe.
Implement GLP, Halal Assurance, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 17025, SMK3, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 across all work activities.
