Job summary

PT. Combine Will Industrial Indonesia invites an experienced Head of Purchasing to drive strategic procurement, transform capabilities, and secure a cost-efficient material supply in a fast-paced toy manufacturing environment.

The role covers end-to-end change management, building a high-performing team, and developing import sourcing strategies with strong supplier governance. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain experience, including managerial experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end change management within Purchasing / Procurement.
• Strong leadership with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven experience in strategic import sourcing and international supplier management.
• Experience managing bonded-zone procurement and customs-related processes.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement cycle, supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Able to manage agile, fluctuating demand in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Active and confident English speaker; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Strong understanding of inventory, material planning, supply risk, and production continuity.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end change management within Purchasing to strengthen processes and governance.
• Build a strong Purchasing organization through direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop and execute import sourcing strategies and optimize supplier terms.
• Oversee bonded-zone procurement, import processes, and customs compliance.
• Translate production demand into responsive procurement strategies balancing cost, quality, and lead time.
• Lead negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, supplier development, and performance improvement.
• Establish purchasing controls and drive mitigation plans to protect business continuity.

Lead strategic procurement, transform purchasing capabilities, and ensure a reliable and cost-effective material supply in a fast-paced toy manufacturing environment with agile and changing demand.

Key responsibilities

Lead proven end-to-end change management within the Purchasing Department, strengthening processes, systems, governance, team capabilities, and overall procurement performance

Build a strong, accountable Purchasing organization through clear direction, coaching, performance management, and capability development

Develop and execute proven import sourcing strategies, optimize supplier selection and commercial terms, and ensure competitive, reliable, and flexible supply

Ensure effective management of bonded-zone purchasing activities, import processes, customs requirements, and related regulatory compliance

Translate dynamic production demand into responsive procurement strategies while balancing quality, cost, lead time, inventory, and supply continuity

Lead strategic negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, supplier development, and performance improvement without compromising supply reliability

Establish robust purchasing controls, identify supply chain risks, and drive mitigation plans to protect business continuity

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field

10+ years of Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain experience, including proven managerial experience in manufacturing

Proven track record of leading end-to-end change management within a Purchasing / Procurement function

Strong leadership with proven experience building and developing high-performing teams

Proven experience in strategic import sourcing and international supplier management

Proven hands-on experience managing bonded-zone procurement and customs-related processes

Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement cycle, supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization

Strong commercial, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Able to manage agile and fluctuating demand in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Active and confident English speaker, Mandarin proficiency is a plus
