Job summary

PT TEC Indonesia (Batam) seeks a procurement-focused buyer to manage supplier delivery, cost, quality and supply risks in an electronic manufacturing environment. You will monitor critical parts, drive recovery actions, and escalate issues to protect production timelines.

Key collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other functions, ensuring effective purchasing operations and strong supplier relationships. Strong English and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Specialist, Procurement, or Material Planner in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience managing supply of electronic or mechanical components or related commodities.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience handling multiple suppliers and urgent delivery situations.
• Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent.
• Good analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

About you

Experience in managing supply of electronic components, mechanical components or manufacturing-related commodities

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

Experience in handling multiple suppliers and urgent delivery situations

Familiar with ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent
