KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead purchasing strategies and procurement activities with local & overseas suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quantities, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers while monitoring performance.
• Manage international purchasing, imports, shipping, and logistics coordination.
• Monitor purchasing costs, budgets, invoices, payments, and procurement data.
• Ensure product quality, quantity, specifications, and delivery meet requirements.
• Lead and develop the Purchasing team and improve processes and cost efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum D3/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar managerial purchasing role, preferably in the retail industry.
• Proven experience leading and developing a Purchasing team.
• Strong experience managing local & overseas suppliers, preferably within retail, fashion, jewellery, or related industries.
• Good understanding of international purchasing, imports, shipping & documentation.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, with confidence communicating with overseas suppliers.
• Strong commercial understanding of pricing, costs, payment terms, and procurement budgets.
