Job summary

Talent Insider is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee buying activities for imported and local goods at our Jakarta office. The role requires effective supplier negotiation, coordination with sales and logistics, and ensuring compliance with specifications and quantities.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or related fields, with 8+ years of experience, strong English, and preferably Japanese communication skills. Jakarta placement is required.

Qualifications

• Interest in sales area and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Japanese is preferred.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Flexibility to be stationed at Jakarta office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing processes for imported and local goods per specs and quantity.
• Manage buying cycles from supplier contact to order placement.
• Search, contact and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align purchasing with demand and budget.
