Job summary

PT. Triefta Aroma Nusantara, a leading Indonesian flavors, fragrances, and aromatic chemicals manufacturer, seeks a seasoned Procurement Specialist in Surabaya.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing for raw and packaging materials, manage supplier performance, and drive cost and process improvements across the supply chain. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of procurement experience in chemical manufacturing or FMCG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional procurement experience in chemical manufacturing, FMCG, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
• Experience procuring chemical raw materials, packaging, production, or indirect materials.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MD).
• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging, indirect materials, spares, and operations.
• Manage end-to-end procurement: sourcing, supplier selection, quotes, negotiation, POs, delivery monitoring.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, contracts and other commercial conditions.
• Monitor market trends, prices, exchange rates, and supplier conditions for cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, supplier records, POs, and related files per policy.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, supplier performance reports, and management reports.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to improve efficiency, cost, and compliance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Procurement Specialist to oversee procurement activities for a chemical manufacturing and FMCG business. The role is responsible for managing the procurement process, developing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, ensuring material availability, and achieving optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.

The ideal candidate has strong procurement expertise, excellent negotiation skills, a solid understanding of chemical and FMCG manufacturing environments, and the ability to lead procurement activities in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, indirect materials, spare parts, and other operational requirements.

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and delivery monitoring.

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, capacity, compliance, and service performance.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, contracts, and other commercial conditions to achieve the best overall value for the company.

Monitor market trends, commodity prices, exchange rates, and supplier conditions to identify cost-saving and risk-mitigation opportunities.

Implement and maintain procurement documentation, contracts, supplier records, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation in accordance with company policies.

Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, supplier performance reports, and other management reports as required.

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve procurement efficiency, cost effectiveness, supplier performance, and process compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably within a chemical manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or other manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.

Experience in procuring chemical raw materials, packaging materials, production materials, or indirect materials is highly preferred.

Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate quotations, cost structures, and commercial terms.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for procurement analysis and reporting.

Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems is preferred.

Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
