Job summary

PT. Indo Kreasi Grafika in Batam, Indonesia seeks a Tooling Technician responsible for maintenance, repair, and optimization of tooling systems, RDC, creasing embossing and related equipment to keep manufacturing running smoothly.

You will disassemble, clean, reassemble dies, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support operators with precise setups. A diploma in mechanical fields and 2-3 years of tooling experience are required; English communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field.
• 2-3 years experience in tooling maintenance, preferably in RDC, die-cutting, or printing environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving.
• Proficient with hand tools, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and gap gauges.
• Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to die-cutting and converting equipment.

• Track tooling lifecycle, repairs, and performance improvements.
• Document tooling changes and performance improvements.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to die-cutting and converting equipment
• Prepare and install tooling for production runs, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Support operators with complex or precision setups.
• Stage tooling to minimize downtime and ensure efficient changeovers.
• Track tooling lifecycle, repairs,
• Document tooling changes and performance improvements.
• Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and conformance to specifications

Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field.
• Experience 2-3 years in tooling maintenance, preferably in RDC, die-cutting, or printing environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and gap gauges.
• Possess a positive personality and be able to approach people at all levels.
• Able to speak English both orally and in writing.
