Job summary

National Oilwell Varco in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with PV design expertise to lead pressure vessel projects, ensuring compliance with ASME and TEMA while delivering GA drawings and calculations.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, proficiency in PV Elite or Compress, and the ability to interpret datasheets and collaborate with Project, Production, and Quality teams throughout fabrication. Fresh graduates with excellent academics are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in pressure vessel design engineering; fresh grads with excellent academics welcome.
• Proficient in PV Elite and/or Compress.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div.1 & Div.2, ASME Section II, and TEMA.
• Able to perform manual engineering calculations.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• FEA knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design for Pressure Vessels, STHE, and Storage Tanks per codes and client specs.
• Prepare engineering calculations and GA drawings to support fabrication.
• Ensure all deliverables meet project requirements, standards, and quality.
• Support project execution with technical solutions throughout lifecycle.
• Develop designs for Pressure Vessels, STHE, and Storage Tanks.
• Coordinate with Project, Production, and Quality teams to implement design requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, and company standards.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and project execution.
