Job summary

Nov Inc in Batam, Indonesia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead design for Pressure Vessels, STHE, and Storage Tanks in compliance with ASME VIII and TEMA. You will develop calculations, GA drawings, and ensure deliverables meet project standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of PV design experience (fresh grads with excellent academics welcome). Proficiency with PV Elite or Compress and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pressure vessel design (fresh graduates with excellent academics welcome).
• Proficient in pressure vessel design software PV Elite and/or Compress.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div.1 & Div.2, ASME Section II, and TEMA.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to perform manual engineering calculations.
• Interpret client datasheets and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design for Pressure Vessels, STHE, and Storage Tanks in accordance with applicable codes and client specifications.
• Prepare engineering calculations and General Arrangement (GA) drawings to support fabrication activities.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations.
• Support project execution by providing technical solutions and engineering assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop engineering designs for Pressure Vessels, STHE, and Storage Tanks.
• Perform design calculations and prepare engineering documentation.
• Prepare and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings based on design calculations.
• Interpret client datasheets, technical specifications, and applicable design codes.
• Coordinate with Project, Production, and Quality teams to ensure design requirements are properly implemented.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, and company engineering standards.
• Provide technical support throughout fabrication and project execution.

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) knowledge will be an advantage.
