Job summary

China Fiber Optics Online is seeking an Application Engineer to provide proactive pre-sales technical support and consultative assistance to customers. You will collaborate with regional sales teams to close deals, respond to RFPs/RFIs, plan and manage POC processes, and deliver product presentations at client sites and events.

Strong English communication, telecom tech knowledge, and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree holder in Telecommunications, Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent. Business degree a definite asset
• Pertinent experience: Sales experience is required, preferably in a technical capacity.
• Language requirements: Ability to competently write and speak in English is mandatory; other local languages will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Deliver products, services and consultative support to prospective and existing customers
• Proactive support for pre-sales technical cycle, including assisting Regional Sales Managers in closing the sale
• Meet or exceed regional sales support, sales, and business development objectives in collaboration with the regional sales team
• Use technical and business writing skills used to respond to technical portions of new business proposals, e.g. RFP/RFI
• Provide Pre-Sales product Proof of Concept (POC) oversight to ensure client is successful with products and understands product capabilities
• Develop and deliver product presentations at customers, conferences and other venues as required
• Provide relevant customer feedback to corporate: features, futures, issues, success stories, and competitive field intelligence
• Provide network analysis and design at all levels
• Manage customer sign-off of installations, and professional services to ensure related revenues can be invoiced
• Post sales installation, implementation, training, documentation, integration, and troubleshooting of products
• Perform other duties as the Company may authorize or assign from time to time
