Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Plumbing/Piping Engineer for site-based work in Batang-Central Java, Indonesia. You will manage plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping works across construction sites in line with project specs and safety rules.

The role requires reviewing plans, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to drawings, schedules, and quality standards. English fluency is essential; Chinese/Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, plumbing or building services.
• Engineering license/certification is an advantage.
• Experience in plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping construction.
• Experience in site supervision and coordinating subcontractors.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping works at sites per specs and safety rules.
• Review and coordinate plumbing system plans, drawings and project schedules.
• Coordinate between Subcontractors and other disciplines during construction.
• Direct and monitor subcontractors to meet quality and safety standards.
• Assist in scope review, quantity take-off, cost estimation and budgeting.
• Prepare work schedules and control use of materials and equipment.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure alignment with drawings and schedules.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning of plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare proposals, technical reports and presentations as required.
• Maintain documentation: inspection records, progress reports, material records, as-built docs.
• Travel to project locations and work on construction sites.

PLUMBING/PIPING ENGINEER

(Batang-Central Java)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and control plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping works at construction sites in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Review plumbing system plans, drawings, system inter-relationships, construction sequencing and project schedules.
• Coordinate and support problem-solving between Plumbing/Piping Subcontractors and other disciplines during construction.
• Direct, monitor and control the activities of Plumbing/Piping Subcontractors to ensure that they adhere to project specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Assist in scope review, quantity take-off, cost estimation and budgeting for plumbing and piping works.
• Prepare work schedules and control the use of materials, equipment and machines.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure that plumbing and piping works are completed according to approved drawings and project schedules.
• Conduct inspection and coordinate testing & commissioni"ng of plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping systems.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and other project teams to resolve site technical issues and ensure proper system integration.
• Prepare proposal documents, technical reports and presentations when required.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including inspection records, progress reports, material records and as-built documentation.

Requirements:

• D3 / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• Engineering license/certification is an advantage.
• Considerable experience in a similar position, particularly in plumbing, water supply, drainage and piping construction.
• Experience in construction site supervision and coordination with subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply systems, sanitary systems, drainage systems, piping installation, pumps, valves and related equipment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, safety requirements and applicable building regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office; MS Project and AutoCAD are an advantage.
• Fluent in English; Chinese/Mandarin language is a plus.
• Responsible, disciplined, proactive and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on construction sites and travel to project locations.
