Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer

About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing team in Semarang, Central Java. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical systems on our construction projects. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will ensure that all M&E installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards.

• Coordinate and supervise the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved designs and technical specifications
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify that M&E work meets project requirements and industry standards
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including installation reports, test certificates, and as-built drawings
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progression
• Monitor project schedules and budgets related to mechanical and electrical work, reporting progress and identifying potential delays
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings as required
• Perform site measurements, calculations, and assessments to support design coordination and installation planning
• Maintain detailed project records, including daily logs, material testing reports, and equipment certification documentation
• Collaborate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to coordinate integrated systems and resolve constructability issues

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical project engineering within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire protection, and building automation systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building codes
• Demonstrated experience in site supervision, quality control, and project coordination
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid professional certifications or licenses relevant to mechanical and electrical engineering (preferred)
• Knowledge of Indonesian building standards and regulations is highly desirable
• Fluency in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
