Job summary

DABEST Consultant is seeking a Plumbing and Mechanical Pump Engineer for a project-based assignment to support planning, design, supervision, and technical assessment of plumbing, piping, and mechanical pumping systems for building and civil infrastructure projects.

The role involves preparing calculations, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates, and coordinating with civil, structural, electrical, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in plumbing, piping, mechanical pump systems, water supply systems, wastewater systems, or related infrastructure projects.
• Able to prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Candidates holding an SKA Madya in Plumbing and Mechanical Pump Engineering, or an equivalent valid professional competency certificate, will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical calculations and designs for plumbing, piping, and mechanical pump systems.
• Determine pump capacity, total dynamic head, operating pressure, motor power, and system efficiency.
• Prepare technical specifications, design drawings, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
• Review pump layouts, piping routes, valves, fittings, and supporting mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with civil, structural, electrical, and environmental engineering teams.
• Conduct site inspections, technical evaluations, testing, and commissioning support.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable technical standards, specifications, and project requirements.

• Able to prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on a project-based assignment and conduct site visits when required.
• Candidates holding an SKA Madya in Plumbing and Mechanical Pump Engineering, or an equivalent valid professional competency certificate, will be highly preferred.
