Job summary

Smoore Technology Indonesia is seeking a Project Manager for civil and construction projects in East Java. You will lead project planning, coordinate with design and cost teams, and act as the owner's representative on site.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 5+ years in engineering or construction project management, with experience in industrial facilities and proficiency in AutoCAD. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Requirement Coordination

• Coordinate with user departments to define project scope, functional requirements, and technical requirements.


• Develop project schedules and monitor project progress.


• Coordinate design and cost teams for technical and cost optimization.


• Identify project risks and propose improvement solutions.

2. Tendering & Contractor Management

• Support preparation of tender documents, technical specifications, construction scope, interfaces, and schedules.


• Assist in technical evaluation and selection of contractors.


• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Construction & Site Management

• Act as the owner's representative during construction.


• Review drawings, construction methods, and technical submissions.


• Monitor site quality, schedule, safety, and workmanship.


• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve site issues.


• Manage variations, site instructions, material approvals, and project documentation.

4. Civil & Architectural Works

• Manage civil, structural, architectural, renovation, and finishing works.


• Coordinate factory layout, office/laboratory areas, production areas, and supporting facilities.


• Identify construction quality and implementation risks.

5. Completion & Handover

• Coordinate testing, inspection, completion acceptance, and site handover.


• Verify completed works and project documentation.


• Support final measurement and project settlement.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or related disciplines.


2. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction project management.


3. Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, R&D facilities, or factory renovation projects is preferred.


4. Owner-side project management experience is highly preferred.


5. Proficient in AutoCAD and common office software.


6. Able to read and review engineering drawings and construction documents.


7. Good understanding of project planning, contractor management, quality, schedule, cost, and safety control.


8. Good command of English for workplace communication and documentation.


9. Knowledge of Indonesian building regulations, PBG/SLF, construction safety, and relevant local approval processes is an advantage.


10. Knowledge of K3/HSE and SMKK requirements is preferred.


11. Valid SKK Konstruksi relevant to the discipline is an advantage.
