Job summary

Kulu in Bali is hiring a Lead Product Engineer to own the platform that wraps our AI agents: customer portal, live meeting experience, onboarding, billing, admin, and reporting. This is a hands‑on, player‑coach role: you will eventually lead engineers, but first and foremost you ship.

Most of what users and paying customers touch outside the agent conversation itself is yours — and much of it is driven directly by commercial needs, where a small, well‑built feature can unblock a deal the same

Qualifications

• Full-stack fundamentals: modern TypeScript/React frontend and production backend/API experience.
• Strong product judgment: turn underspecified requests into shipped features.
• Track record of shipping fast in small teams without sacrificing quality.
• Ability to work directly with founders and commercial stakeholders, pushing back with reasons.
• High agency and ownership; mentoring engineers or readiness to lead a small team.
• Fluent/Advanced English; company language is English.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery from user stories to production.
• Balance product and commercial priorities with roadmap; ship urgent requests quickly.
• Maintain platform architecture with clear API contracts and data models.
• Lead the platform team; assign ownership and review work.
• Ensure tests, feature flags, and staged rollouts are effective.
