Job summary

Siloam Hospitals Group (Tbk) is seeking a Pharmacy professional to support inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring safe and effective medication use.

You will handle prescriptions, compounding, dispensing, storage, and monitoring; participate in quality and safety initiatives; and provide drug information to clinical teams.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree, at least one year hospital experience, and familiarity with regulatory standards governing medication safety and controlled substances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Pharmacy required.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or clinical pharmacy experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and patient care.
• Expertise in preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of a wide range of medications.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines related to pharmacy practice, including medication safety and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving prescriptions, compounding and preparing medicines for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Distribute medicines and ensure patients' drug needs are met per hospital standards.
• Monitor and improve service management of Pharmacist Assistants and Runners in outpatient and inpatient units.
• Handle complaints from patients, doctors, nurses, or other departments related to outpatient pharmacy services.
• Ensure completeness of data and monthly reports for the outpatient unit.
• Monitor procurement and use of medicines and equipment; maintain cleanliness and maintenance of pharmacy facilities.
• Conduct socialization and education to staff regarding new drugs and provide drug information services.
• Monitor storage conditions (refrigerator, room temperature, humidity).
• Provide operational support to the Assistant Pharmacist to ensure continuity of OPD services.
• Collaborate with all related departments and patient families as needed.

Job description

• Supporting pharmaceutical services in terms of receiving prescriptions, compounding and preparing medicines as well as distributing medicines in outpatient and inpatient pharmacy services to ensure that patients' drug needs are met in accordance with the service and quality standards set by the hospital. Monitor and continuously check the service management of Pharmacist Assistants and Runners in the outpatient and inpatient pharmacy units to ensure that the standards and procedures set by the hospital are carried out correctly and consistently.
• Receive and handle complaints from patients, doctors, nurses, or other departments related to pharmacy outpatient unit services to ensure customer satisfaction with pharmacy outpatient unit services
• outpatient services in relation to the implementation of established policies, standards and procedures, including operational obstacles that may be encountered which can be followed up or escalated to interested parties
• Ensuring the completeness of data and monthly reports for the pharmaceutical outpatient unit: Static drug reports and drugs that are almost/already expired, Stock and price reports, Data quality objectives, Narcotic and psychotropic drug stock reports, Other required reports
• Monitor the procurement and use of medicines and general equipment, as well as the condition of cleanliness, procurement, use and maintenance of equipment in the pharmaceutical outpatient unit, so that they can be accountable to superiors
• Carrying out socialization and education to workers in the pharmacy outpatient unit regarding existing new drugs, as well as conducting drug information services for all parties who need it to ensure that all relevant departments receive correct and appropriate information according to their needs.
• Monitor the refrigerator temperature as well as room temperature and humidity to optimize drug storage and management
• Implement and supervise procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including attending training, collecting data, documenting and/or making reports needed to support the achievement of hospital wide indicators and related departmental targets
• Provide operational support to the Assistant Pharmacist of the pharmacy outpatient unit to ensure the continuity and smoothness of pharmacy OPD services
