Job summary

UOB in Batam is seeking a Personal Banker to drive new customer acquisition at multiple branches within the city and to grow balance and revenue. You will identify needs, present UOB products, and support clients through account openings while building lasting relationships.

The role requires proactive outreach, Mandarin language preference, and strong English communication. Willingness to relocate within Batam area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any major from a reputable university.
• Mandarin language preferred for client interactions.
• Strong English written and spoken communication.
• Highly motivated with a curiosity to learn banking.
• Willing to work at different branches within the same city.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new to bank customers for Retail Bank at designated location or coverage area.
• Proactively approach prospects to understand financial needs and discuss UOB products.
• Provide product information and outline features/benefits to clients.
• Identify investment cross-sell opportunities and other products.
• Assist clients with account opening and maintain relationships for referrals.

PERSONAL BANKER

Job Description

• Acquire NTB (new to bank) customers for Retail Bank at designated location or assigned geographical coverage area in order to increase number of customer, balance and revenue for the bank with focus on sourcing from referral, offline exhibition and MGM program
• Proactively approach in-segment prospective clients to identify and understand real financial needs, understand the client and their requirements, and interest them in UOB’s products
• Provide product and proposition information for UOB prospective clients as appropriate, outlining features and benefits
• Identify Investment cross-selling opportunities as well as to sell other products
• Assist prospective clients in all account opening process and maintain good relationship with UOB clients for referral opportunities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree’s any major from reputable university, fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Able to speak Mandarin is preferred
• Good communication in English written and conversational
• High motivation, curiosity to learn banking industry and adaptive
• Willing to be placed in different branches in same city
