Job summary

Dewa Cafe is seeking a passionate Pastry Commis to join our culinary team in a fast-paced kitchen. The role focuses on pastry preparation, dessert production, and learning under experienced chefs while upholding quality and presentation standards.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in a pastry environment, a SMA/SMK background (preferably culinary/hospitality), and English communication abilities. Shift work, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pastry kitchen experience.
• Basic knowledge of pastry, bakery, and dessert preparation.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily operations.
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and workstations.
• Properly store ingredients and finished products according to company standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with inventory control and stock rotation.
• Support the Pastry Chef and senior kitchen team in daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
