Job summary

PT Agrinesia Raya in Bogor, Indonesia seeks a Packaging Development leader to establish quality standards, align QMS, and drive cost reductions in high-speed packaging lines. You will collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, and QA to develop sustainable packaging roadmaps, validate materials for shelf life, and ensure compliance across production and warehouse.

The ideal candidate has a track record in packaging development or QA within F&B or FMCG, with expertise in printing processes and material

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a degree in a related scientific field and relevant packaging experience.
  • Proven track record in leading packaging cost reduction projects with measurable savings.
  • Experience resolving printing defects and standardizing packaging specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Establish packaging quality standards and printing tolerances with vendors to minimize errors and defects.
  • Develop and standardize technical packaging specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary materials.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering projects without compromising quality.
  • Develop a sustainable packaging roadmap while maintaining shelf-life standards.
  • Ensure materials are suitable for high-speed machinery through trials and validation.
  • Develop packaging development SOPs and ensure process compliance across Warehouse, Production, and Stores.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, and QA teams to improve team capabilities through training.

Qualification
  • Bachelors degree (S1) in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Materials Science/Engineering, Product Design (Packaging focus), or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in Packaging Development or Packaging QA within the Food & Beverage (F&B), FMCG, or large-scale bakery industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing packaging cost reduction projects with measurable cost savings.
  • Proven track record in resolving complex printing defects and establishing standardized packaging specifications from unstructured processes.
  • Proven track record in testing and commercializing new packaging materials on high-speed automated packaging lines.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging material functional characteristics, including barrier properties, printing processes (Rotogravure, Flexography, Offset), and color management.
