Job summary

Kraft Heinz in West Java invites a Packaging Engineer to join our operations team. You will develop, optimize, and validate packaging solutions, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness on the production line.

You will lead trials, apply material standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability and continuous improvement while maintaining safety standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Packaging Engineering.
• 3+ years of working experience in packaging engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, and machinery.
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Identify and implement packaging cost reduction and value engineering opportunities
• Conduct packaging material standardization and optimization projects
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards
• Monitor industry trends and emerging packaging technologies
• Support sustainability initiatives through the development and implementation of environmentally friendly packaging solutions
• Plan and execute packaging trials on production lines
• Conduct packaging performance testing, including drop tests, compression tests, transportation tests, and shelf-life evaluation
• Ensure packaging compatibility with manufacturing equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Packaging Engineering
• Over 3 years working experience
• Knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods, and packaging machinery
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Capable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
• Ability to understand and coach relevant management systems, including Centerline and 5S
• Ability to effectively lead RCFA events
• Ability to work in accordance with required safety standards and wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Open mindset and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives
• Flexibility to adjust schedule and support production activities or employees on other shifts as required
