Asthanesia is seeking a packaging development/QA professional to lead standardization of packaging specifications and drive cost-saving initiatives. You will collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, and QA to ensure high-quality, sustainable packaging for a food and consumer goods portfolio.
Experience with high-speed packaging lines, printing processes, and cross-divisional SOPs is required, with a strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in F&B or FMCG settings.
Quality & Printing Governance: Establish packaging quality standards and printing tolerances with vendors to minimize printing errors and visual defects.
QMS Alignment: Develop and standardize technical packaging specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary materials.
Cost Reduction & Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering projects without compromising packaging quality and functionality.
Sustainability: Develop a sustainable packaging roadmap while maintaining product quality and shelf-life standards.
Machinery Machine-ability: Ensure packaging materials are suitable for high-speed machinery through trials and technical validation.
Cross-Divisional Compliance: Develop packaging development SOPs and ensure process compliance across Warehouse, Production, and Stores.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, and QA teams while improving team capabilities through regular technical training.
Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Materials Science/Engineering, Product Design (Packaging focus), or a related scientific field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Packaging Development or Packaging QA within the Food & Beverage (F&B), FMCG, or large-scale bakery industry.
Proven track record of leading and executing packaging cost reduction projects with measurable cost savings.
Proven track record in resolving complex printing defects and establishing standardized packaging specifications from unstructured processes.
Proven track record in testing and commercializing new packaging materials on high-speed automated packaging lines.
Strong knowledge of packaging material functional characteristics, including barrier properties, printing processes (Rotogravure, Flexography, Offset), and color management.
