Job summary

PZ Cussons is seeking a Lead Packaging Development professional to drive end-to-end packaging development with hands-on involvement and team leadership. You will own printing quality, artwork feasibility, and on-pack visual excellence while coaching your team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Packaging Development with flexible packaging & printing.
• Hands-on experience with printing processes and press trials.
• Strong color management and artwork adaptation knowledge.
• Experience with packaging suppliers/converters.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging development with hands-on involvement and team leadership.
• Oversee printing quality, artwork feasibility, and on-pack visuals.
• Coach team on printing, color control, and material performance.
• Drive NPD speed and execution excellence; prioritize workload for fast, first-time-right results.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, and suppliers to translate designs to print accurately.
• Validate printing processes (flexo, gravure, digital) and ensure production scalability.
• Troubleshoot printing defects and coordinate press trials with suppliers.
• Lead evaluation of new packaging materials and suppliers; ensure compliance with standards.
• Pursue continuous improvement and competitive edge via cost and print efficiency.
