Job summary

DHL Express Batam is seeking a Certified International Specialist to join our Insanely Customer Centric team. You will help ensure shipments are processed safely and efficiently, supporting inbound and outbound operations across the DHL network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) is required.
• 1 year relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• English skills, both spoken and written.
• Able to work in shift.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to adapt to sudden changes.
• Able to manage time and priorities efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound shipments according to DHL standards.
• Activate standard process flows to satisfy customer needs.
• Process inbound and outbound material per latest procedures.
• Keep the work area clean and ready for the next cycle.
• Provide administrative and operational support to Service Centre operations.
• Collaborate with teammates to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure inbound material is available to couriers and secured when not for delivery.
• Capture information for shipments per standard procedures.
• Ensure equipment operates and take corrective actions when needed.
• Expand knowledge of other roles via rotational shifts.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all shipments - both inbound and outbound - are processed according to local and DHL Network standards in a safe and secure manner
• Activate the standard and agreed process flows in daily operations to satisfy the customer needs and requirements
• Process inbound and outbound material according to the latest processes and procedures
• Keep the process area clean and tidy and make sure it is ready for the next process cycle
• Offer administrative and operational supports to Service Centre operations.
• Work with other team-mates to perform and complete day to day activities
• Process inbound material upon arrival and make sure material is available to the couriers and that material not going out for delivery is secured according to the Security policy and procedures
• Capture information - and make available to the Network - information required for a shipment, piece or handling unit at the service centre according to the standard procedures
• Ensure that all relevant equipment is operating and take corrective actions where equipment failure and to be proactive through taking action where equipment is falling below operating standards
• Expand knowledge of other roles within Operations in order to carry out these functions through a rotational shift mechanism.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree (or equivalent)
• 1 year relevant experience
• Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• English skills, both spoken and written

Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
