Job summary

MatchaTalent is assisting a client in Papua New Guinea with a Procurement Coordinator role. You will coordinate end-to-end procurement, manage requisitions, issue purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with operations, logistics, finance and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Procurement, 3–5 years of experience, ERP experience, strong negotiation, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
• Experience with ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong commercial awareness with negotiation and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition to close-out.
• Review requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Source quotations, conduct market comparisons, and support negotiations.
• Raise, manage, and monitor Purchase Orders using ERP systems.
• Track supplier progress and expedite critical procurement activities.
• Coordinate logistics, freight, customs, and import documentation.
• Maintain procurement records and support audits.
• Identify improvements to procurement processes and supplier performance.
