Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle is seeking an R&D professional to lead and scale NPD projects from concept to production and define process parameters for converting raw materials into finished products. You will coordinate with related departments and ensure regulatory compliance for new materials used locally and for export.

You will conduct industrial-scale trials, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement on processing lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Research and Development within the FMCG industry.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis. Additional skills with Minitab and Power BI are a plus.
• Proficient in project management and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work under pressure and meet targeted deadlines.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food manufacturing technologies.
• Good understanding of food ingredients and their functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage NPD projects, including scaling up product development from recipe to commercial production.
• Define process parameters for converting raw materials into finished products and oversee completion with related departments.
• Conduct industrial-scale trials, test process parameters, and prepare trial reports.
• Set up and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions for processing lines.
• Assess new raw material documentation for regulatory compliance for local/export products.
• Lead continuous process improvement projects to identify issues and ensure closure.
