Job summary

PT SCC Beauty Cosmetic is seeking an Assistant R&D Researcher to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for cosmetic products, including scale-up from lab to full-scale production and process validation.

You will collaborate with Formulation, Product, Production, and NPD teams, prepare process sheets, support internal and OEM factories, and ensure regulatory compliance with R&D and Regulatory Affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cosmetic formulation design, process development, and/or process validation.
• Basic knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, formulations, and their properties.
• Basic understanding of cosmetic manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in English (Mandarin will be advantage)

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new cosmetic products
• Conduct process risk assessments and prepare process development and validation plans
• Perform process scale-up activities, including laboratory-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale production trials
• Conduct process validation and prepare validation reports to ensure reliable and qualified manufacturing processes
• Prepare and finalize manufacturing process sheets and coordinate the handover to the factory
• Support internal and OEM factories in troubleshooting technical issues encountered during daily production
• Assist Quality and Production teams in identifying root causes and developing appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct technical assessments and evaluate product or material risks related to production issues
• Review registered manufacturing processes together with the R&D Regulatory Affairs team to ensure process rationality and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with Formulation, Product, Production, and NPD teams to prepare samples for consumer testing, stability testing, and laboratory testing

Education

Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or a related field
