Job summary

BINUS University in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Business Development Coordinator to identify and evaluate new products and opportunities for commercialization and growth. You will coordinate due diligence and develop compelling proposals that align with industry needs and BINUS strategic goals.

• Minimum Bachelor Degree.
• 2 years in Senior Staff level position, or 4 years of working experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential products and opportunities for commercialization.
• Coordinate due diligence on products, teams, business models and markets.
• Develop product proposals by identifying topics and industry needs.
• Identify funding sources and opportunities for supplementary funds.
• Coordinate assessment of new business potential with partners and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain networks with faculty, industry, corporates, startups, investors and other professionals.
• Coordinate market research to inform business development and investment decisions.
• Coordinate with academic heads to identify product development and industry-research activities.
• Supervise record, database and documentation of New Venture Scout activities.
• Coordinate thorough project logs and detailed reports.
• Provide management support, report to supervisor and suggest process improvements.

1. Identify and evaluate potential products, ideas, and opportunities within BINUS (or from external), to be commercialized, developed, or settled as new businesses
2. Coordinate due diligence on potential products, ideas, or opportunities, including gathering information about the products, team (if any), business model, and market opportunities
3. Develop product proposals by identifying topics, designing projects, identifying the needs of the industries, and designing innovative tools and programs
4. Identify prospective funding sources, new funding initiatives and respond to opportunities for supplementary funds to existing projects.
5. Coordinate the assessment process of new businesses potential (in coordination with Business Development team, investors, other key partners within BINUS and/or external)
6. Develop and enhance a wide network of connections, including faculty members, industry experts, corporates, startups / entrepreneurs, investors, and other professionals
7. Coordinate thorough research on markets and industries to gather information and insights that can inform business development and investment decisions
8. Coordinate with all Head of academic departments / Programs/ RIG to identify product development/ industry-research activities that are potentially commercialized
9. Supervise record, database and documentation of all documents related to New Venture Scout process activities
10. Coordinate effective project’s log detailed reports
11. Management Support Activities :

• Provide Report to direct Supervisor

• Suggest improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort and cost)

• Perform activities related to Quality Management System

• Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor

Education Requirement :
Minimum Bachelor Degree

Work Exposure/Experience :

• Minimum 2 years in Senior Staff level position, or

• Minimum 4 years of working experience.
