Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MHE operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Proficient in CMMS and equipment tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and servicing of all material handling equipment (forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, automated systems).
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Manage facility engineering operations (HVAC, electrical, fire safety, building infrastructure).
• Lead and supervise maintenance teams with training and performance development.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with Indonesian and international standards.

About the role

We are seeking a MHE & Facility Engineering Manager to join our operations team at our South Cikarang facility in West Java on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position with significant responsibility for managing all material handling equipment (MHE) and facility engineering operations at our site. You will oversee the maintenance, safety, and optimal performance of critical equipment and infrastructure, ensuring seamless logistics operations whilst maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. This role is pivotal in maximising operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting the facility's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and servicing of all material handling equipment including forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems to ensure optimal operational performance.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and program to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan.

Manage facility engineering operations including HVAC systems, electrical systems, fire safety systems, and building infrastructure.

Lead and supervise the MHE and engineering maintenance team, providing training, performance management and career development opportunities.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with Indonesian safety regulations and international standards.

Monitor equipment performance metrics and fuel consumption, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships to ensure critical components are available when required.

Implement and maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, and asset management systems.

Collaborate with operations management to plan equipment upgrades, replacements and facility improvements.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs to minimize operational disruption.

Develop capital budgets for equipment maintenance, repairs and facility upgrades.

Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum more than 10 years of experience in MHE maintenance, facility engineering, or similar equipment management roles, preferably within logistics, warehousing or manufacturing environments.

Proven track record of leading and managing maintenance teams in fast-paced operational settings.

Strong knowledge of material handling equipment operation, maintenance requirements and safety protocols.

Technical expertise in equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair methodologies.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance program that reduce downtime and costs.

Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and equipment tracking software.

Knowledge of Indonesian safety regulations (Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja) and best practice safety management.

Strong understanding of facility systems including electrical, HVAC, fire safety and building maintenance.

Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Budget management experience and understanding of capital and operational expenditure control.

Preferred: Certification in equipment maintenance, facility management, or related technical qualifications.

Preferred: Experience with automated warehouse systems or conveyor systems.
