Job summary

Corner House Café Restaurant Bar is seeking a Cold Cook with at least 1 year of experience in Mexican or international kitchens. You will prepare Mexican cold dishes, salads, and garnishes, maintain freshness and quality, and follow strict food safety guidelines.

The role requires good knife skills, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of Vocational High School in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cold Cook or Kitchen staff, preferably in Mexican or international restaurants.
• Basic knowledge of Mexican cuisine (tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, guacamole, salsa).
• Familiarity with Mexican ingredients such as tortillas, avocados, tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro, beans, corn, chiles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Mexican cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and garnishes.
• Prepare guacamole, salsa, dips, dressings, and other cold preparations.
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation.
• Maintain freshness and quality of ingredients; follow food safety standards.
• Coordinate with hot kitchen to ensure smooth service.
• Assist Chef with daily kitchen operations.
