Job summary

Corner House Group in Bali is seeking a Hot Cook to craft authentic Mexican dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. 2 years of experience is preferred, with knowledge of tacos, burritos, and enchiladas.

You will follow recipes, maintain quality, and work flexible shifts. Basic English is an advantage; Vocational High School in Culinary Arts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of Vocational High School in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Hot Cook or Line Cook, preferably in a Mexican restaurant, hotel, or international restaurant.
• Basic to good knowledge of Mexican cuisine, including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, and nachos.
• Familiarity with hot kitchen cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting, and pan-searing.
• Knowledge of Mexican ingredients, including tortillas, jalapeños, chili peppers, beans, corn, tomatoes, avocado, and various spices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and food presentation guidelines.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.
• Ability to maintain food quality, taste, and consistency during service.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, discipline, and time management skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills are an advantage.
