As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing mechanical works in MEP construction projects mainly HVAC/ACMV systems and mechanical utilities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project targets.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- 1. Monitor and support daily ACMV and FDS construction activities on site.
- 2. Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.
- 3. Coordinate construction sequencing and site progress for ACMV and FDS works.
- 4. Prepare, review, and submit technical documentation, including:
- Shop Drawings
- Method Statements
- Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- 5. Coordinate design clarifications and manage RFIs with consultants, clients, and relevant stakeholders.
- 6. Conduct site inspections and QA/QC checks for ACMV and FDS installation works.
- 7. Monitor workmanship quality and manage punch list closure.
- 8. Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
- 9. Ensure compliance with project standards and local authority requirements.
- 10. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams for Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and Integrated System Test (IST) activities.
- 11. Ensure T&C records and as-built documentation are complete and accurate.
- 12. Ensure all works comply with EHS requirements, including Permit to Work (PTW) and risk assessments.
- 13. Maintain strict safety controls for HVAC works and fuel system activities.
QALIFICATIONS /JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2. Minimum 3-5 Years Mechanical Engineer in construction projects. Experience in high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, or data center projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/ACMV systemsand mechanical utilities.
- Experience in installation of:
- - Ducting and insulation works
- - Chilled water / condenser water piping
- - Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Strong Good understanding of HVAC equipment such as AHU, FCU, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with engineering standards such as ASHRAE / SMACNA / SNI or equivalent.
- - AutoCAD (mandatory)
- - Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Project Execution Skills (Mandatory):
- Able to coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for installation, material delivery, and site execution
- Understanding of construction methods and mechanical work sequences.
- Able to prepare technical documents and project reports.
Soft Skills (Mandatory):
- Strong communication skills and teamwork.
- Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver, and responsible.
Certifications (Preferred / Added Value):
- HVAC/ACMV training certificates are an advantage.
