Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maritime & Shipping HR Manager to lead end-to-end HR functions across multiple entities in Indonesia. The role partners with directors and senior management on organizational and employee matters, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective people strategies.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on leadership style, 10+ years HR experience (3+ in management), and strong knowledge of Indonesian labor regulations, with exposure to maritime or logistics sectors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Law, Human Resources Management, Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years at manager level
• Experience in maritime/shipping/logistics/port industry preferred
• Experience in publicly listed company (Tbk) or large-scale corporate environment preferred
• Proven track record of managing HR functions across multiple entities
• Hands-on approach to managing a broad range of HR functions in a lean HR structure
• Solid knowledge of Indonesian employment regulations and industrial relations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, industrial relations, learning and development, performance management, and HR administration
• Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, company regulations, organisational structures, job descriptions, and salary structures
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian employment regulations including BPJS and PPh 21 requirements
• Standardise HR policies and systems across multiple business entities
• Lead workforce planning, HR budgeting, and organisational development
• Manage job grading, salary benchmarking, compensation and benefits, succession planning, and talent development
• Handle HR audits, restructuring, mergers, and employee transfers across business entities
• Advise directors and management on organisational and employee-related matters
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics including headcount, turnover, recruitment, payroll, attendance, performance, and industrial relations
• Prepare consolidated HR reports and insights for directors and senior management

Requirements

• Experience in a publicly listed company (Tbk) or large-scale corporate environment is highly preferred
• Proven track record of managing HR functions across multiple entities or business units
• Hands-on approach and the ability to independently manage a broad range of HR functions within a lean HR structure
• Solid knowledge of Indonesian employment regulations and industrial relations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
