Job summary

DP World Medan seeks an experienced People Manager to drive HR across the Indonesia business. You will support the President Director, oversee end-to-end HR activities, and ensure compliant, efficient processes in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR/BA with 5+ years as HR Manager, strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as HR Manager, familiar with start-up environments.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesia labor laws/regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office; HR software experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, offboarding.
• Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment law to ensure compliance.
• Manage employee relations, mediate conflicts, foster positive work environment.
• Coordinate training and development programs to upskill staff.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reports with data integrity and confidentiality.
• Contribute to compensation and benefits administration and payroll coordination.
• Support DEI initiatives across the region.
• Assist in HR communications and engagement activities to strengthen culture.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the President Director to execute HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives within Indonesia.

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and fairness.
• Manage employee relations matters, mediating conflicts, and maintaining a positive working environment.
• Coordinate and administer training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Participate in compensation and benefits administration, including payroll coordination and benefits enrollment.

• Assist in HR-related communications and employee engagement activities to foster a strong company culture.
• Stay current with HR trends, best practices, and legal developments to ensure the organization's practices remain competitive and compliant.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
• Along with minimum 5 years' experience as a HR Manager and familiar with greenfield/brownfield start-up environment.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia labor laws and regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with HR software is advantageous.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Language Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English are essential as the role will provide HR support for Indonesia market. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate, collaborate, and review/draft policies/documentation in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
