Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. Batam site seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to head the Manufacturing Engineering team, act as the technical SME for designated product lines, and drive process control, NPI and documentation.

You will own yield performance, lead continuous improvement projects, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across quality, equipment, and production. The role requires strong leadership, a track record of process improvements, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in electronics, mechanical, industrial, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering with team leadership.
• Black Belt Lean Six Sigma preferred; Green Belt with project leadership considered.
• Proven track record of yield improvement and continuous improvement ownership with measurable impact.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, QC tools, PFMEA and related problem-solving methods.
• Experience as a technical point of contact and project manager for cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficient English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for production processes and product quality on designated product lines.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing/Process Engineering team; hire and mentor staff.
• Manage engineering function for assigned product lines including process control and NPI.
• Own yield performance and drive process robustness and accountability.
• Qualify new equipment, materials, or processes and prepare reports.
• Coordinate BOM, M-creation, and Device Spec with relevant functions.
• Review PFMEA, PCP and manufacturing procedures.
• Ensure calibration/verification of equipment used by the team.
• Provide material/process suitability guidance and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives and cross-functional project meetings.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Support product quality investigations and CAPA with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, EH&S systems within responsibility.
