Job summary

SP Manufacturing in Batam Kota, Riau Islands, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Senior Engineer to lead advanced testing efforts across electrical and electronic components. The role focuses on building robust test strategies, developing fixtures, and delivering high-quality production tests.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with design and quality teams, validate new methods, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing test engineering, production test development, or high-volume hardware environments.
• Strong skills in Python, C/C++, Bash, or Shell scripting for test automation.
• Hands-on expertise using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
• Proficiency with frameworks like LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or custom test automation solutions.
• Ability to architect end-to-end test strategies (from structural to functional and system-level tests) and design production-rate test stations.
• Experience working with cross-functional design teams, vendors, and contract manufacturers (CM/JDM) during New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Strong root-cause debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex hardware and software issues in production (consumer electronics, automotive, medical)
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, yield monitoring, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced test procedures for electrical/electronic components.
• Lead development and optimisation of test equipment and automated testing solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to define testing requirements.
• Create and maintain test plans and standard operating procedures.
• Validate and qualify new testing methodologies and equipment for standards compliance.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic testing issues in production.
• Monitor test performance metrics and identify process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company quality systems in testing.
