In this role, you will lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team while serving as the technical subject matter expert and primary point of contact for designated product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for production processes and product quality on designated product lines, and the primary point of contact for cross-functional technical matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing/Process Engineering team, including interviewing and hiring, preparing OJT programs, providing timely feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
- Manage the overall engineering function for assigned product lines, spanning process control, NPI, and process documentation.
- Own yield performance and process robustness across designated product lines, setting targets and driving accountability to results.
- Qualify new or relocated equipment, new materials, or new processes used in manufacturing, and analyze and issue evaluation/qualification reports.
- Coordinate the establishment of BOM, M-creation, and Device Spec with relevant functions.
- Review product documentation related to Measurement System Analysis (MSA/GR&R), Process FMEA (PFMEA), Process Control Plan (PCP), and associated manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure all equipment used by the engineering team is calibrated/verified, with no out-of-calibration equipment in use.
- Provide technical advice on material suitability and process compatibility.
- Serve as project leader for manufacturing engineering initiatives within assigned product lines — leading and driving project meetings, tracking actions to closure, and reporting progress to plan.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate/reduce waste and resolve chronic process issues.
- Partner with NPI, Quality, Equipment, and Production teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and smooth product introduction/transfer.
- Support product quality investigations and corrective/preventive actions related to process performance, escalating and resolving systemic issues.
- Ensure the team's compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety management system requirements within the area of responsibility.
Qualifications

- Demonstrated track record of yield improvement and continuous improvement project ownership with measurable business impact.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis, and structured problem-solving tools (QC Tools, 5Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
- Experience acting as a technical point of contact and project manager for cross-functional, product-line-based initiatives.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
