Job summary

BYD Auto Co., Ltd. is seeking a bilingual translator and interpreter to bridge Chinese headquarters and Indonesian teams, government authorities, partners, and employees.

You will handle written translations, simultaneous interpretation, and cross-cultural coordination to ensure accurate and smooth information flow. Based in Indonesia, you will support factory establishment and ongoing operations, translating engineering, HR, administrative, and technical documents, and providing interpretation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Indonesian-Chinese translation or related fields.
• Fluency in Chinese and Indonesian with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to ensure accuracy and fluency of bilingual translation and cross-cultural coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide written translation, interpretation, and cross-cultural communication and coordination.
• Ensure accurate and smooth information transfer between Chinese headquarters, factory departments, Indonesian local government authorities, business partners, and employees.
• Facilitate communication during factory establishment and operation processes.
• Translate engineering, HR, administrative, and technical documents.
• Provide interpretation for meetings and negotiations.
• Respond quickly to translation requests from different departments.
• Support communication during factory establishment and initial operations.
• Handle complex translation assignments independently.
• Resolve cultural differences arising during translation.

Job description

Serve as the language bridge between the Chinese headquarters, factory departments, Indonesian local government authorities, business partners, and employees. Responsible for written translation, interpretation, and cross-cultural communication and coordination to ensure accurate and smooth information transfer, facilitate communication during the factory establishment and operation processes, and promote cross-cultural integration.

• Resolve cultural differences arising during the translation process

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in Indonesian Language, Chinese Language and Literature, Translation (Chinese–Indonesian), International Business, or related fields
• Strong command of both Chinese and Indonesian, with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Proficiency in English is a plus
• Able to ensure the accuracy and fluency of bilingual translation and familiar with translation techniques
• Familiar with terminology related to the EMS electronics manufacturing industry
• Familiar with Indonesian local culture and customs, and relevant laws and regulations
• Basic knowledge of cross-cultural communication and the ability to quickly adapt to translation requirements during factory establishment and operations
• Strong service orientation and execution skills
• Capable of independently handling complex translation assignments
