Job summary

PT EXEDY Manufacturing Indonesia is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead CNC programming and production optimization in its automotive components workshop. The role requires hands-on CNC milling and turning, strong technical drawing skills, and a capability to manage a sizable production team within an ISO/IATF environment.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in the automotive sector, fluency in English or Japanese, and a track record of process improvements and sustaining machine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Capable of problem analysis.
• Able to read and create technical drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• Knowledgeable in CNC programming and operating Milling & Lathe machines.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ people.
• English and/or Japanese language ability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve production issues to improve efficiency.
• Operate and program CNC machines (Milling & Lathe).
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth production processes.
• Test and validate new products before mass production.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and preventive programs.
• Manage daily workshop operations for reliable, cost-effective machinery.
• Monitor production data and recommend process improvements.
• Stay updated on engineering technologies and industry standards.
• Support innovations and process changes for continuous improvement.
• Set up CNC programs and develop work instructions.
• Understand and implement ISO and IATF procedures.
• Familiarity with Japanese corporate culture and work ethic.

Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the automotive industry

Capable of problem analysis (Problem Line)

Able to speak and write in English / Japanese (advantageous)

Able to read and create technical drawings

Knowledgeable in machinery, capable of programming and operating CNC machines (Milling & Amp; Lathe)

Skilled in mechanical design and technical drawing using AUTOCAD 2D & Amp; 3D

Experience managing a team of at least 20 people in previous roles.
