Job summary

RGF HR Agent Indonesia is recruiting for a Design Engineer Senior Staff ~ Assistant Supervisor for machine parts in an automotive manufacturing setting. The role focuses on designing and improving fastener products, tooling, and processes to meet quality standards.

You will develop 2D/3D CAD drawings, review PPAP documentation, and lead PFMEA/QCPC activities while ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and supporting continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma required.
• At least 2 years as a design engineer in automotive fastener manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, QCPC, and IATF16949.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve fastener products and manufacturing processes, including product layout, tooling assembly, and tooling design.
• Create and review 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fastener products, dies, tooling, and related production equipment.
• Design and develop tooling and die structures according to product specifications, production requirements, and quality standards.
• Analyze and solve die and tooling-related problems during development and mass production.
• Review and optimize the fastener production flow process, from material preparation and forming through finishing and inspection.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and other Engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Prepare and review PPAP documentation, ensuring all required documents meet customer and internal requirements.
• Take a leading role in PFMEA and QCPC preparation, review, and improvement.
• Identify potential manufacturing risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to product quality, tooling performance, productivity, and production cost.
• Ensure engineering activities and manufacturing processes comply with IATF 16949 and applicable customer requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and staff.
• Support new product development, engineering changes, trial production, and mass-production implementation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma's Degree in Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer handling fastener products in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, QCPC, and IATF 16949.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
