Job summary

PT Talentvis Consulting Indonesia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Head for our Probolinggo plant to lead the maintenance team across two shifts. You will oversee denim, non-denim, and automation processing machines, and manage the in-house lathe shop and laser cutting section for jig fabrication.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of managing large teams to keep production running smoothly. Relocation to Probolinggo is expected.

Qualifications

• Denim and automation processing machines experience is required.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Head - Manufacturing (Probolinggo, East Java)

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Head to lead the maintenance team for our denim, non-denim bottoms, and automation processing machines. The role also includes managing the in-house lathe shop and laser cutting section for fabricating jigs and attachments. The factory operates in 2 shifts, and the ideal candidate will have hands‑on technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a large team across shifts to ensure smooth, efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate a large team of mechanics and technicians across 2 shifts
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of denim, non-denim, and automation processing machines (e.g., sewing, cutting, finishing, and automated/PLC-controlled equipment)
• Manage the in-house lathe shop and laser cutting section, including fabrication of jigs and attachments for production needs
• Ensure adequate shift coverage and smooth handover of maintenance activities between shifts
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues and ensure timely resolution
• Introduce and maintain industry best practices in maintenance, safety, and equipment handling
• Stay updated on new machines, technologies, and techniques, and quickly adapt processes accordingly
• Train and mentor junior mechanics and technicians
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
• Liaise with production/operations teams to align maintenance with production schedules
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience working with denim, non-denim, and automation processing machines
• Trained and skilled in both basic and automated sewing machines
• Experience managing an in-house lathe shop and laser cutting operations, including jig and attachment fabrication
• Demonstrated experience managing/leading a large team, including multi-shift operations
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronics systems
• Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance and industry best practices
• Quick learner, able to adapt to new machines and technologies with minimal ramp-up time
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible/rotational shift hours as needed
• Willing to relocate to Probolinggo

Qualification
