Busana Apparel Group is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Leader to oversee a large team across two shifts, driving maintenance for denim, non-denim, and automation processing equipment, including sewing, cutting and PLC-driven systems.
You will manage the in-house lathe shop and laser cutting section, craft jigs, and ensure smooth handovers, preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repairs while mentoring junior staff and coordinating spare parts inventory.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade qualification)
Minimum 15 years of experience working with denim, non-denim, and automation processing machines
Trained and skilled in both basic and automated sewing machines
Experience managing an in-house lathe shop and laser cutting operations, including jig and attachment fabrication
Demonstrated experience managing/leading a large team, including multi-shift operations
Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of electrical and electronics systems
Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance and industry best practices
Quick learner, able to adapt to new machines and technologies with minimal ramp-up time
Good leadership and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible/rotational shift hours as needed
Lead, supervise, and coordinate a large team of mechanics and technicians across 2 shifts
Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of denim, non-denim, and automation processing machines (e.g., sewing, cutting, finishing, and automated/PLC-controlled equipment)
Manage the in-house lathe shop and laser cutting section, including fabrication of jigs and attachments for production needs
Ensure adequate shift coverage and smooth handover of maintenance activities between shifts
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues and ensure timely resolution
Introduce and maintain industry best practices in maintenance, safety, and equipment handling
Stay updated on new machines, technologies, and techniques, and quickly adapt processes accordingly
Train and mentor junior mechanics and technicians
Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
Liaise with production/operations teams to align maintenance with production schedules
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports

Followed by the development of 2 production units in Ungaran, Central Java in 1997 to multiply the production power in men’s shirt and women’s soft dressing. And finally, in 2017 Busana Apparel Group start the expansion overseas by opening our newest factory in Ethiopia.
Right now, Busana Apparel Group has more than 50 million pieces of production capability annually from 9 production locations that produced in 30 factories through the hands of 30.000 experienced worker.
Along the way, we are also continuing our efforts to be an energy efficient company by saving 60% of our energy usage on lighting, 50% energy saving through servo motors, 32% steam system optimization, and more than 25,000 trees planted on our sites. We even have the highest score LEED certified green building to ensure our sustainability program running simultaneously with our business target.
