MatchaTalent is seeking a Store Manager for a luxury fashion boutique located in Surabaya. You will lead daily operations, drive sales growth, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while upholding brand standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in luxury retail, strong leadership, and a proven track record in managing full-price luxury environments with a clienteling approach. This role requires commercial acumen and a polished, service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any major.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail, with substantial experience in store management or equivalent retail leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing full-price luxury boutiques, preferably in handbags, leather goods, fashion accessories, or premium fashion products.
• Experience in outlet retail alone may not be sufficient; familiarity with full-price luxury retail environments.
• Strong understanding of luxury retail sales KPIs, including AUR, ATV, UPT, sales turnover, and customer retention.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets, analyze business performance, and implement sales improvement strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise in clienteling, customer relationship management, repeat-customer development, and personalized luxury service.
• Strong people management skills, including coaching, performance evaluation, staff scheduling, and team development.
• Good understanding of retail operations, inventory control, stocktaking, cash handling, and store administration.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising standards and brand presentation in luxury retail.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, coordination, and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance, attention to detail, high integrity, and a strong sense of accountability.
• Basic English proficiency for workplace communication and understanding brand-related materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations across the group's resort, villa, and accommodation properties, ensuring all facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and troubleshoot critical systems, including electrical installations, air conditioning, plumbing, water pumps, generators, water heaters, and water treatment equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, conduct routine property inspections, and address potential equipment failures before they disrupt hotel operations.
• Monitor swimming pool conditions, chemical levels, filtration systems, and pumps, while overseeing minor civil repairs, painting, carpentry, roof leakages, and general building maintenance.
• Respond promptly to technical breakdowns and guest-related maintenance requests, coordinating repairs to minimize operational disruptions and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Monitor electricity, water, and fuel consumption, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare utility reports and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage engineering spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies while coordinating with external vendors and monitoring the quality, timeliness, and cost of their work.
• Lead, supervise, schedule, and coach a team of approximately 5-6 engineering technicians, ensuring effective task allocation, work quality, and timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements (K3), fire safety procedures, building safety standards, and the readiness of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment service histories, work orders, and technical reports, and communicate significant operational risks and maintenance requirements to management.
• Coordinate with the General Manager, other departments, suppliers, and contractors on maintenance priorities, equipment replacement, budgeting, and facility improvement projects.
• Support the technical preparation and operational readiness of new properties as the hospitality group expands its portfolio.
