Job summary

Nord Minerals in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee international logistics, HS code assignments, and import procedures before purchasing goods. You will coordinate with the supply team and overseas partners to schedule readiness, manage multimodal shipments, and ensure timely customs clearance.

The role requires 5+ years in international logistics, strong knowledge of Indonesian customs, and fluency in English and Indonesian.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Logistics
• 5+ years experience in the field of international logistics
• Experience with consolidated, general and oversized cargo, and multimodal transportation
• Knowledge of Indonesian customs code
• Experience with Sucofindo/import permits (advantage)
• Audits experience (advantage)
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Indonesian
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare logistics, duties and taxes calculations for the sales team and assign HS Codes of goods to determine import requirements
• Coordinate with supply team and international suppliers, manage readiness schedules
• Organize international logistics (air, courier, multimodal) with China, Turkey, Europe, South Africa
• Interact with freight forwarders and verify transport documents
• Verify customs clearance documentation and interact with customs representatives
• Coordinate shipments from warehousing, stock control (<200 items)
• Monitor payments to contractors
• Explore new logistics solutions and freight forwarders
• Optimize transportation and storage resources to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Coordinate deliveries with sales to meet contract terms
• Maintain databases for customs clearance and goods movement
• Maintain document flow at all delivery stages
• Engage with freight forwarders, brokers and foreign partners
• Oversee end-to-end transportation process

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare logistics, duties and taxes calculations for the sales team and assign HS Codes of goods at the stage of calculation to determine import requirements and actions to be taken to import goods before the purchase of goods
• Contact with the supply team and international suppliers, control the schedule of readiness of goods
• Organize international logistics (China, Turkey, Europe, South Africa)– air/courier/multimodal
• Interact with freight forwarders (control of loading time, verification of transport documents, assistance in solving problems arising during transportation)
• Verify transport and commercial documentation customs clearance. Interact with a customs representative, calculate customs duties, and control the procedure for releasing goods
• Represent the company's interests at temporary storage warehouses. Coordinate shipments from the warehouse. Stock control (less than 200 items)
• Control of payments to contractors
• Search for new logistics solutionsand freight forwarders
• Monitor and optimize the use of transportation and storage resources to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Coordinate deliveries with the sales team regarding the schedule to meet contract terms
• Maintain information databases (data on goods for customs clearance, on the movement of goods)
• Maintain document flow at all stages of delivery
• Interact with freight forwarders, brokers and foreign partners
• Control of the entire transportation process

What we expect of you:

• Higher education in Logistics
• 5+ years experience in the field of international logistics
• Experience working with consolidated, general and oversized cargo, as well as with multimodal transportation (air, road, rail, sea)
• Knowledge of the peculiarities of Indonesian customs code
• Work with Sucofindo, experience of obtaining an import permit for ferrous metal goods (as an advantage)
• Successful completion of customs audits (as an advantage)
• Excellent verbal and written communication both in English and Indonesian
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
