Logistics Continuous Improvement and Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and analyze logistics operational budgets (Transportation, Warehouse, Manpower, and Material Handling Equipment/MHE).
- Conduct daily/weekly billing audits of vendor invoices to ensure cost accuracy.
- Identify cost variances and provide mitigation recommendations for cost efficiency.
- Prepare monthly reports on Cost per Unit, Logistics Cost as % of Sales, and other expense efficiency metrics.
Operations Continuous Improvement
- Analyze end-to-end logistics processes to identify bottlenecks and waste.
- Lead productivity improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Design and monitor operational KPIs to ensure department targets are met.
- Collaborate with operational teams (Inbound/Outbound) to standardize SOPs for increased speed and accuracy.
Reporting & Supervision
- Assist in rate negotiations with logistics providers/3PLs based on market data analysis.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Transportation, Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position, especially logistic administration.
- Required skills: Microsoft Office, TMS, WMS, SAP, and documentation filing.
- Certified or deeply knowledgeable in Lean Logistics, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), Kaizen, or 5S.
- Strong understanding of logistics cost structures, cost accounting, and budget management.
- Flexible and open to changes and able to manage multiple tasks in restricted timeframes.
- Capable of leading cross‑functional project teams to implement change initiatives.
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, good analytical thinking and negotiation skill.
