Job summary

Pandai Gadai is seeking a Law Graduate with 2–4 years of litigation experience to support our legal and compliance efforts in Indonesia. The role involves handling police summons, preparing responses, attending proceedings, and coordinating with branch staff.

You will draft formal letters, manage internal investigations with HR and Risk, monitor KUHAP and UU P2SK regulations, liaise with external counsel, and help update SOPs and training for non-legal staff.

• Solid understanding of Indonesian criminal procedure and financial services regulations.
• Experience handling police investigations, summons, or law enforcement correspondence is a strong advantage.

Job description

• Assist in handling police summons and information requests involving pawned or collateral goods, including preparing responses, attending proceedings where required, and coordinating with branch staff.
• Prepare and file police reports, including evidence packs, chronologies, and witness preparation, and follow through on case progress with the investigators.
• Handle customer and third-party disputes, including claims related to the business of the company.
• Draft formal legal correspondence, including demand letters (somasi), objection letters (surat keberatan), and responses to law enforcement or third-party requests.
• Support internal investigations process, working closely with the HR, Risk, and Internal Audit teams
• Maintain and update the internal case tracking system, including risk assessments and action plans for ongoing litigation matters.
• Help develop and update compliance training materials and SOPs for non-legal branch staff on handling police contact and law enforcement interactions.
• Monitor developments in relevant regulations (UU P2SK, relevant POJKs, KUHAP, KUHP) and flag impacts on internal procedures.
• Support litigation risk assessments for new and expanding branch regions.
• Assist in preparing internal reports and recaps for management on active legal matters.
• Liaise with external counsel, notaries, and law enforcement as needed.

• Law Graduate (S.H.) from a reputable university.
• Having advocate license (Peradi) is preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in litigation, either in private practice (law firm) or in-house, ideally with exposure to criminal procedure and financial services sectors.
• Experience handling or assisting with police investigations, summons, or law enforcement correspondence is a strong advantage.
• Experience handling internal fraud cases (e.g., employee misconduct, asset misappropriation, internal investigations) is preferred.
• Solid understanding of Indonesian criminal procedure (KUHAP), civil litigation processes, and financial services regulation, particularly UU P2SK (UU No. 4 Tahun 2023) and the relevant OJK regulations.
• Strong analytical skills to assess litigation risk and recommend action plans.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple case files simultaneously.
• Good communication skills to liaise with non-legal branch staff, external counsel, and occasionally law enforcement.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to branch locations, including new expansion regions, as needed.
