Job summary

Argo Manunggal Group is seeking a seasoned Corporate Legal & Compliance Department Head in Jakarta Selatan. The role leads legal advisory, governance, and regulatory activities to support business objectives and mitigate risk across complex corporate environments.

The incumbent will supervise the Legal & Compliance team, collaborate with senior management, regulators, and external counsel, and ensure effective internal controls and governance aligned with company strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Corporate Legal, Compliance, Governance, or related functions.
• Strong and proven expertise across corporate law, contracts, governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience leading Legal & Compliance teams and managing complex matters across multiple business units.
• Strong business acumen, negotiation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic, commercially minded, high-integrity leader with a track record of delivering meaningful business impact.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen corporate governance and compliance by ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and governance standards.
• Oversee regulatory and statutory matters, including filings, permits, amendments, and regulatory submissions; coordinate with authorities.
• Advise senior management and the Board on legal risks, governance matters, and regulatory developments with practical recommendations.
• Strengthen legal risk management and internal controls by identifying exposures and developing mitigations.
• Lead and develop the Legal & Compliance team, building relationships with business leaders, regulators, external counsel, and shareholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead corporate legal advisory covering contracts, agreements, corporate actions, business transactions, legal opinions, and other legal matters to support business objectives.


• Strengthen corporate governance and compliance by ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and corporate governance standards.


• Oversee regulatory and statutory matters, including corporate filings, permits, corporate amendments, regulatory submissions, and coordination with relevant authorities.


• Advise senior management and the Board on legal risks, governance matters, business decisions, and regulatory developments, providing practical recommendations to support sound decision-making.


• Strengthen legal risk management and internal controls, identifying potential exposures and developing appropriate mitigation measures across the organization.


• Lead and develop the Legal & Compliance team, while building effective relationships with business leaders, regulators, external counsel, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Law from a reputable university; professional legal qualifications are an advantage.


• Minimum 15 years of experience in Corporate Legal, Compliance, Governance, or related functions, preferably in Property, Manufacturing, Mining, or other complex corporate environments.


• Strong and proven expertise across corporate law, contracts, corporate actions, governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls.


• Demonstrated experience leading Legal & Compliance teams and managing complex matters involving multiple business units and senior stakeholders.


• Strong business acumen, negotiation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.


• A strategic, commercially minded, and high-integrity leader with a proven track record of managing complex legal and governance matters and delivering meaningful business impact.
